IN-HOME PRODUCT TESTERS

American Consumer Panels hires in house product testers to provide feedback on products. Anyone can apply to become a product tester.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER YOU QUALIFY?

Once you qualify to become a product tester, companies will send you products to test at home.
You will need to complete surveys and questionnaires to provide feedback on products.
These will go back to the company as market research. This helps them understand what things they need to do before they go to market.
Once the product testing has ended, you will get paid.

HOW MUCH MONEY CAN YOU MAKE AS A PRODUCT TESTER?

According to the website, product testers will make from $25 to $45 per hour. This depends on the project.
They also guarantee that you will work 15 to 20 hours per week. This is a part time position.
You will get paid after you complete each assignment.
Payment will be by check or direct deposit.

Find Paid Focus Groups To Participate In

Did You Know You Can Get Paid For Market Research? Here’s How To Find Paid Focus Groups To Participate In

1 – How To Find Focus Groups

The first thing you’ll want to do is to go online and search for “market research companies” in your city or area. Focus group also
Bigger cities (like Los Angeles, New York, Denver, Atlanta, etc.) are more likely to have a large number of these facilities. But there are definitely market research opportunities available all across the country!  focus
I searched my city, and I found about a dozen market research firms. I could visit them one-by-one to participate locally in some of their larger studies, or I could choose to participate online only.
I found a lot of information and was a little overwhelmed. I left wondering where to start and which sites to choose — so I dug a little deeper.
For example, here are 4 reputable focus groups I found in my area offering both online and in-person opportunities:
  • Google Usability — Google conducts consumer research on many of their online products and services. The 4 types of research they conduct are: on-location, online, in-home, and online sampling studies. For your participation in a study session, you get a “token of appreciation” — such a gift card or donation to your favorite charity.
  • Focus Group — They conduct market research via 12 different marketing methods — including online surveys and focus groups, shop alongs, in-person focus groups, home-based interviews, and small discussion groups. In-person focus groups pay between $75 to $150 for your time.
  • Mind Swarms — This is a third-party platform where you share your opinion via video on your webcam, smartphone, or tablet. To be considered for this opportunity, fill out the online application and answer questions via video for any studies that you’ve been invited to participate in. You’re paid $50 for each study you complete.
  • Fieldwork — They conduct routine focus groups in 16 major cities across the U.S. They also set up temporary locations across the U.S. as needed. To be considered, fill out the online application. Compensation ranges from $50 to $100. By the way, Fieldwork has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau.
I’ve listed a bunch more market research studies and ways to find focus groups below — at the very end of this post.

#2 – How To Get Started

You need to know that almost all legit surveys, market research sites, and focus groups that pay for your participation are 100% free to join.
There are scammers out there that just want to make money by selling hope to people who are in need of money — so make sure the company is legitimate first!
et’s look at 1 of the 4 that I mentioned above: Focus Group.
First, I looked at the online reviews and found that it was favorably reviewed.
I signed up — which took me about 3 minutes total. That’s relatively fast, in my opinion!
Then, I was asked to fill in some basic personal information — including my name, address, phone number, email address, my gender, and birth date.
TIP: If you’re asked for your credit card information, stop right there! Legit sites don’t ask for it.
Once I was approved, I logged in and was able to see studies that were available to me.
I chose a couple and had varying results (more on that below).

More Ways To Find Focus Groups

In addition to the links I’ve included above, here are some other great resources to help you find focus groups where you can get paid for market research — both online and in-person:
